To arrive at the Mulehead Ranch along the Missouri River, you can
come in a variety of ways, so we'll try to explain each one. After
looking at a South Dakota map, you may choose a different route and
follow the back roads that Joe loves to travel. But if not, here is
a list of easiest routes.

- I-29 (This is the Interstate running North and South) Take exit
64
- I-90 (This is the Interstate running East and West) Take exit 251
- Hwy
44 running East-West across South Dakota. 19 miles South of Junction
HWY 44 and HWY 1806, then turn left and travel 4 miles to the end
of the road.
- Hwy 18 runs along the southern most route in SD.
10 miles North of Junction HWY 18 and HWY 1806. Follow the road to
the end.
Bonesteel, population of 350, is the closest town.
If coming to the Duling ranch,
- I-29 (This is the Interstate running North and South) Take exit
64
- I-90 (This is the Interstate running East and West) Take exit
- Hwy
44 (running East-West across South Dakota ) We are 27 miles west
of Platte, SD. As you go across the Winner/Platte bridge that spans
the Missouri River you have just another 12 miles to go. We are at
the top of the river hills and the ranch on the North side of the
road. Take the gravel road in approximately 1/2 mile. Joe and Lynne
live
in the first house-check in there and they'll direct you to your
lodging.
- Hwy 18 runs across the southern most route in SD. When you
reach Gregory, you will turn North on Hwy 47 and drive 11 miles
north to the 4 way
stop, turn right onto Hwy 44 and drive approx 4 1/2 miles East. You
will see the ranch on the north side of the road before heading down
into the river hills. Take the gravel road in approximately 1/2 mile.
Joe and Lynne live in the first house-check in there and they'll
direct you to your lodging.
Gregory, population of 1342, is the closest town.
